Zaren is a prominent crime lord in the Trident. He captured Lorelei Ogden and April Vasquez via a street ambush and sells them for 20,000 credits to a mysterious benefactor named "Ocram" (Marco Deed). 

Greed drove Zaren to repeatedly target Ogden, culminating into a final ambush that's thwarted by Deed and Darrow. Zaren ordered a retreat, vowing to report the incident to the Pirate King, Proteus.
