Zara was a young woman who was once a partner and protégé of the mercenary Darrow. Tragically, she died on a mission gone awry, something that profoundly impacted the normally stoic mercenary Darrow.

During a bounty hunt on the moon Dione, Darrow -- having already suffered a concussion and lung damage from a previous mission, encountered Zara again. His compromised mental capacities prevented him from realizing at first that she was just a figment of his imagination.
