Torm, on the surface, works as a bartender at the Decada Den, a prominent establishment located on the pirate moon of Triton. However, he's much more. He's a former bounty hunter who works under the employ of Dr. Silf (operating under her power broker alias, Charity).

Torm, as an independent bounty hunter, piloted a ship called Twin Suns until its destruction during a failed attempt to capture GTC agent Alaric. Torm escaped in a pod that mistakenly took him to Triton rather than his intended destination of Titan. Upon his arrival on Triton, he was coerced by Trident power broker Darius Davick to take a job.

Details of that job are unknown, but Torm acquitted himself well enough to draw the attention of Charity.

Torm first crosses paths with Lorelei Ogden and April Vasquez when they are captured by the thug Zaren and dropped off at the Decada Den
