Mr. Controversy. Lieutenant Paul Tidwell was navigator aboard the Starline Shipping vessel Dido, serving directly under Captain Lorelei Ogden. Known as the ship "Lothario," Tidwell was considered outrageous, hilarious, and a bit of a screw-up. Ogden counted him among her closest friends, and brought him along on her escape from GTC.

All a facade. Tidwell was a GTC informant. Later on, Ogden tracked him down at a sex club he was a regular at. They blackmailed him with some of his many trangessions, including a short-lived affair with Vinta Gayle, a GTC executive and the wife of his boss, Tanner Gayle.
