Marco Deed is the immensely wealthy, power-hungry founder of Deed Industries, the second-largest corporation in the galaxy. Driven by a decades-long obsession to destroy his rival, the Gamma Trita Corporation, Deed initially rescues Lorelei Ogden, with the intention of restoring her erased identity as the elite assassin Mia Semm to use as a weapon.

Ultimately, Deed's unhinged desire for absolute control alienates his allies, leading Ogden to abandon him to his demise during the explosive Battle of Oberon. Even in death, he casts a long shadow that influences events in the ever-volatile Sol system.
