Elizabeth Courlin was the former first officer of the Dido under Captain Lorelei Ogden, with whom she also shared a casual romance. Courlin was secretly a triple agent hired by Starline Shipping to spy on Ogden, while ultimately answering to Marco Deed. 

She maintained this cover even after promoting to first officer aboard the Sol Defense flagship Vespasian. Eventually imprisoned on Ceres due to Deed's machinations, Courlin was callously executed on Terance Tamoon's orders in front of Ogden who, despite their fractured relationship, still cared for her deeply.
